Semai Native Walk
"Semai Native Walk"
The 'Semai', also known as 'Orang Asli' are one of the largest indigenous ethnic groups in Peninsular Malaysia. Known especially for their kind nature, they have been roaming around Cameron Highlands long before William Cameron discovered it in 1885. They speak Semai, which is a Mon-Khmer language belonging to the Senoi Tribes. A walk through these montane mossy forests will reveal some secrets of how the ‘Semai’ are able to survive for hundreds of years without the help from modern facilities and amenities.
